1. The Opal
New to the scene in 2020, The Opal is a wedding venue with a mix of elegant and industrial vibes. They have partnered with Sky’s Fine Dining to provide an event catering option.
For those with or without ties to the University of North Dakota, the state’s oldest and largest university, the Ralph Englestad Arena, offers an elegant and unique setting for your wedding day.
Enjoy the outdoors and a more casual feel? Turtle River State Park is a beautiful park found just 22 miles west of Grand Forks. Your guests may decide to camp and enjoy the hiking trails, biking, and other recreational opportunities available in the valley. Contact the park for information.
Inviting lots of family and friends? Perfect for the large wedding party, the Alerus Center is able to accommodate over 600 guests. They also feature wedding packages for a more intimate gathering with their smallest package designed for 50-150 guests. Their well planned wedding guide is sure to answer any questions you may have!
There are several parks in the city of Grand Forks that offer a beautiful setting for vows. Make sure to receive a special use permit from the Park District office and your outdoorsy day will be set!
Overlooking the beautiful Red River and found in East Grand Forks, The Boardwalk Bar & Grill is a wonderful option for your celebration!
7. 1908 House
Located in Hatton, ND, a quick 39 mile drive from Grand Forks, The 1908 house is a picturesque venue with lots of history in the area!
8. Draxton Barn
Another option for those up for a more rural location, the Draxton Barn is 50 miles from Grand Forks in Northwood and has been a popular setting for weddings.
Allowing space for up to 225 guests, the Gorecki Alumni Center at the University of North Dakota is definitely worth your consideration for those that enjoy a more modern setting!
10. Canad Inns
Grand Forks is merely 79 miles from the Canadian border and Manitoban owned Canad Inns testifies to the close connection. Your guests will enjoy their stay with the hotel’s waterpark being a perk as well as the close proximity to the Alerus Center.
